1. Go to the Bot Appearance page
Select the 3. Appearance tab when editing your bot.
2. Set your Brand Color
The brand color is a quick way to customize several aspects of your bot. Changing the brand color will set:
- The background color for your Avatar
- Set the color of the Bot Header
- Set the color of the User's Response Bubble Color
- Set the color of the Persistent Button
All of these can be individually changed in Advanced Settings as well.
2. Upload an Avatar
Next you can upload an avatar that is reflective of your brand, such as your company logo.
Select the Upload your own image to add a file from your computer.
- Suggested Size = 150x150 pixels
If you are on the Base Subscription you will not be able to edit the remaining settings. You must have the Standard plan in order to customize further.
3. Change Message Font and Bubble Colors
The next group of settings allow you override the default font and message bubble colors for your bot. As you change the colors you will see the preview update so you can iterate until the right style has been applied.
4. Upload a Custom Persistent Button
By default the persistent button will be the Instabot logo with your brand's color background. However you can upload your own button image asset saved on your computer.
- Suggested Size = 500x500 pixels
5. Widget / Full Screen Background
You can change the background colors of both the widget as well as the full screen design. Additionally, you can adjust the opacity of the widget to make it transparent.
To edit the Fullscreen Settings select the "Show fullscreen options" next to Widget Options label.
Custom CSS
If you need to make further customizations, you can upload a CSS file that will overwrite all settings on this page.
CSS allows you to update font types and bot elements in order to match the format of your website. Find more information on this in our documentation.
